Where Young People Take Root and Rise

We build community for teens through art-based after-school programming.

A Place to Belong. A Place to Grow.

Aspen Grove Community Center exists to ensure teens have a safe, welcoming space during the critical hours after school, where they are supported, encouraged, and valued for who they are. Our programming will begin this summer with our inaugural “Street Art Summer Camp”. This summer’s camp is the first step in a phased launch towards a permanent community center by 2027 — a year-round home offering after-school programming, mentorship, meals, college and career prep, and family support services.

Rooted in the heart of Boise, our programs will focus on personal growth, emotional well-being, and future readiness. We will meet young people where they are and walk alongside them as they build confidence, resilience, and a sense of purpose.

Supporting the Whole Person

We believe meaningful growth happens when young people feel safe, supported, and connected.

Community Building

We will build strong, lasting connections between youth, families, caring mentors, local artists and other nonprofits through community nights, field trips, family events, volunteer opportunities and support groups.

Creative Expression

Our teens will work weekly with professional community artists, exploring painting, creative writing, graphic design, drawing, and pottery to express themselves creatively.

College & Career Readiness

We will help teens and young adults prepare for life after high school by building leadership and job-readiness skills, strengthening resumes and applications, and guiding them toward clear pathways to college, careers, and long-term financial independence.

Case Management Services

We believe teens thrive when their home environment is strong, so we will support the whole person and the whole family through dedicated case management services.

Community & Belonging

We create environments where young people feel accepted and respected — building friendships, trust, and a strong sense of community.

Individualized Support

Through case management and mentorship, participants receive guidance tailored to their unique challenges and goals.

College & Career Readiness

We help teens and young adults prepare for life beyond school by developing practical skills, confidence, and clear pathways forward.

Emotional Wellness

Our supportive counseling and wellness-focused programs help participants build resilience, emotional awareness, and healthy coping skills.

Inspired by Nature. Guided by Community.

Aspen groves are a powerful symbol of strength, resilience, collaboration and interconnectedness. Though each tree stands on its own, all are connected through a shared root system, sharing resources, nurturing new growth, and weathering hardship together. What affects one tree in the grove ultimately has rippling affects on the larger community.

Aspen Grove Community Center is built on this same belief: communities thrive when people are supported, connected, and cared for collectively. By fostering connection and stability, we help young people grow into confident individuals who contribute positively to their communities.
