At Aspen Grove, we grow together.

Aspen Grove Community Center (AGCC) was founded in 2025 after extensive listening and research across the Boise community. Through interviews with social workers, educators, nonprofit leaders, city officials, parents, and youth, one message was consistent: Boise has a significant gap in support for teens and young adults during the critical after-school and post-graduation years.

Our Mission

Through education, creative expression and economic opportunity, we support youth and families facing adversity to build community, achieve their potential and lead fulfilling lives.

AGCC supports youth ages 13-18 and their families, particularly those experiencing the adverse effects of poverty or otherwise marginalized in the Treasure Valley, through a holistic approach that will include:

  • Case Management Services
  • Community Building Initiatives
  • College and/or Career Preparation
  • Creative Expression Opportunities
  • Family and Individual Counseling

Through these efforts, our goal is to provide a safe, enriching and inclusive second home environment in which the youth and the families we serve can thrive mentally, physically, socially and emotionally.

Our Vision

Aspen Grove Community Center envisions a world in which everyone has a safe place to learn, grow and belong.

Through community-centered programs, individualized support and meaningful relationships, we are dedicated to helping youth find their community, express themselves creatively and create pathways toward a healthy, purposeful future.

Our Values

Our work is guided by values that shape how we show up for young people and for our community.

Respect

We create environments where every individual feels safe, welcomed, and respected for who they are. We help young people feel safe to be themselves, while learning to value and navigate differences with maturity.

Community

Community is the sense that you belong to something bigger than yourself. Strong relationships are at the heart of our work, between peers, mentors, families, and the broader community.

Kindess

We believe in building a stronger Boise community through acts of kindness both individually in our program and through broader civic engagement.

Curiosity

We nurture curiosity by encouraging questions, exploration, and new perspectives. We encourage continuous learning, personal growth and genuine curiosity about others' lives in an effort to understand each other more deeply.

Compassion

We act with empathy and compassion in everything we do. We create a culture of safety and belonging, where young people can take risks, express themselves honestly, and learn to extend that same care and respect to others.

Inclusivity

We believe that our Boise community is stronger because of the diverse populations and communities within it. By creating a space where differences are honored and every voice matters, we help young people build confidence, empathy, and a stronger sense of belonging.
